(Remember, I said this was going to be a week of randomness.)
We have these flowers? weeds? wild herbs? in our yard...the stems look like chives but smell like green onions. They grow in clumps in various spots by the house, generally in shadows (like, at the base of shrubs).
Any ideas?

I believe that is a hibiscus.
o.O
Ha ha ha, you SO funny.
Hi Nancy!
I'm so sorry I've been slacking in my visits lately. Work has been a little crazy, and I hear it's about to get crazier.
Anyway ~ I know I've seen this in my Audobon guide to wildflowers, but can't remember the name. I will try to remember to look this up for you. I want to say it's called "Star Flower" but am not sure. It's beautiful!!!
Très belle photo , expressive , forte !
Man, that hibiscus line is still cracking me up. High-larious!
